Cultural District

In keeping with Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s cultural, environmental and progressive leadership and bequest, an entire district on the Saadiyat Island is devoted to culture and the arts. The district’s primary aim is to establish a cultural and artistic infrastructure within Abu Dhabi to both educate and inspire future generations.

The district’s main institutions will be:

- Zayed National Museum by Norman Foster
- Guggenheim Abu Dhabi by Frank Gehry
- Louvre Abu Dhabi by Jean Nouvel
- Performing Arts Centre by Zaha Hadid
- Maritime Museum by Tadao Ando
- Park & Pavilions by various architects
